ARTIFICIAL GRASS FOR COMMERCIAL
Airports • Military Bases • Shopping Centers • Schools • Commercial Office Buildings • Complexes
Why are so many grass fields being replaced with artificial grass? Well, the answer is quite simple. Artificial grass increases the use of a converted fields by approximately 30% annually, which can create a greater capacity for the sports community as a whole. There are many types of sports turf being used such as: football turf, soccer turf, baseball turf, putting green turf, batting cage turf.
Reduced maintenance costs
One of the main reasons for using commercial artificial grass, is the reduced, and in some cases even, entirely eliminated maintenance costs you will enjoy. No more mowing or edging, which can mean significant cost reductions for local municipalities who have to maintain sidewalks, parks, and roadside verges. Also, while artificial grass produces an excellent looking, perfectly manicured lawn, it requires no use whatsoever, of pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, which contain toxic chemicals and are harmful not only to humans and animals, but the environment as a whole.
Time saving
Life is fast-paced for most people these days, with most of their time taken up with various responsibilities. Weekends are for relaxing, but 2 to 3 hours of this precious time can be taken away from you, if you have to mow the lawn in a normal size garden. Artificial grass on the other hand, with the little to no maintenance that it needs, can free up a lot of this weekend leisure time. Artificial grass for residential yards is especially helpful for the elderly and disabled, who are unable to mow their lawns, and also for holiday home owners, who are not always there to see to their gardens.
Environmentally friendly
With global warming, water restrictions are often applied in an attempt to save the precious liquid. These restrictions can be devastating for real grass lawns, actually destroying them completely in some cases. Since artificial grass needs no water at all to survive, these restrictions have no effect on it at all, and the turf will stay green and fresh-looking all through the year.
Healthy, lush appearance, all year round
The wholesale artificial grass you purchase from us, means that you will have a healthy, lush looking lawn all through the year, no matter what the season. The exclusive fibers we use in the manufacture of our product, makes it the best artificial turf for lawn. It is non-toxic, and perfectly safe for you, your family and your pets, and since it is made from synthetic materials, there is no risk at all of it triggering unpleasant reactions in those who are allergic to the real thing.
In addition to this, our artificial grass lawns are resistant to deterioration from rot, mildew, microorganisms, and fungus, and has a patent-pending technology, that protects it against the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.
Unlimited design possibilities
The one great advantage about artificial turf, is that it can be used in many places where it is not always possible to plant real grass, like rooftops, steeply sloping ground, indoors, non-accessible areas, or those areas that get little to no sunshine at all.
Contrary to what some people believe, our artificial grass looks and feels like the real thing, and is nothing at all like an indoor/outdoor carpet.
Durable and long-lasting
Another plus about having an artificial grass installation, is that it does not fade. We have installation projects that we carried out way back in the 1980s, that still look as fresh as the day they were installed. When you buy artificial turf from us, your purchase comes with a limited 8-year warranty, but depending on where and how the turf is used, it can actually last for 25 years or more.
There have been cases where artificial turf has melted from magnified reflections cause by Energy Efficient Windows, but these reflections are so powerful, that they are also able to cause children’s pools, sprinkler heads, and other plastic items to melt. If you’re considering having artificial turf installed, and you have Energy Efficient Windows, then the manufacturer should be able to give you advice as to how you can remedy the problem. In most cases though, simply tinting the windows is enough.
Always available
Artificial grass, unlike the real thing, is always available for use anywhere, at any time. It is especially valuable in those high wear and tear areas, such as where children play all the time, and bald patches start to form. These bald, sandy patches can be a problem after it rains and mud forms, causing a terrible mess everywhere. Getting artificial grass installers in to carefully lay your synthetic grass for you, will have blend in perfectly with the rest of your garden, and help tremendously, to overcome the mud and mess problem, and create a clean environment.
Other circumstances where artificial grass offers great benefits
Many people don’t even think of the following benefits they could enjoy after artificial grass installation:
• Dog runs — artificial grass is great for use in dog kennels, since it is easy to keep clean and sterile. Dogs are unable to dig it up, so there is no risk of holes and muddy, messy paws in the dog runs
• Swimming pool areas — there is nothing more useful than installing artificial lawns beyond the splash-back area of your pool. It stays green throughout the year, does not develop marks from loungers and other garden furniture, and has no dust and sand that can get stuck onto wet feet and transferred into your sparkling pool
• Rooftop gardens — not many rooftops can support the weight of real grass, but artificial grass can be used extremely effectively this way, to create an extra outdoor living area that needs no clipping whatsoever
How much does it cost?
Depending on the product, the length of the fiber can be anything from 1 inch to 2.5 inches, and cost on average, between $2.50 and $4.00 per square foot. This does not include installation costs.
How is it kept in place when it’s installed?
Sand is usually used as an infill material when artificial lawn is being installed. Apart from acting as a ballast, the sand also adds a bit of weight to the grass. To make extra sure that the grass stays in place, we use 7-inch, non-corrosive spikes, every 3 inches, to pin the grass down.
Synthetic grass is warmer than real grass, since it does contain the cooling properties of water that is found in real grass. It won’t ever get as hot as beach sand does, but it is warmer than the real thing. The many benefits of artificial grass far outweigh this one downfall though, because past customers who have had it installed, have never yet complained that it was too hot for them, their children or their pets to walk on. Artificial turf can be watered on those very hot days just prior to using it, or poolside sandals can be worn to protect the feet from the warm grass. Without even exercising these precautions though, people as well as their pets, find artificial grass quite comfortable to walk on with bare feet.
