Walsenburg is one of the first cities in the nation to allow tiny homes on residential lots and is hoping to draw residents looking to downsize.
Walsenburg, located south of Pueblo and North of Trinidad, has a population of just under 3,000 people, according to city administrator David Johnston. Johnston says he hopes the population will be up to 10,000 or 20,000 people in the next five years. The city is hoping to attract people looking for somewhere to own a tiny home.
